Just want to say it happens with men as well BUT basically people assume our behavior is not genuine due to the fact it’s outside the social norm. I’ve had a lot of people assume i’m trying to manipulate them or some shit because they can’t fathom a human that acts like that *seriously*–they assume most people would feel shame in these circumstances, so there must be an ulterior motive. Anyway the trend for me is people are nice to me after realizing i’m not putting on some bizarre act and am just like this. It’s like a few months of one-sided beef before acceptance. What are your thoughts on this theory…
