Just because I didn’t show you my full confidence does not mean that my insecurities were fake.
And also lies don’t necessarily mean that everything is fake. Sometimes we say things we don’t mean, sometimes we don’t think before we speak, sometimes we just want to end a conversation in the quickest way that is possible for us.
Sometimes people have phases, sometimes we don’t know the reason for a behavior. I believe we should not condemn someone for behaving a certain misfitting way. Just because someone lied about who baked the damn cake, about how good they fucked someone, if they plan on leaving the country or about frequency of gym visits - all of that does not make someone a bad person. Some things may not make sense to you, because you only see the output and not the intent behind a lie.
Lies that are told, with the sole purpose of bringing you benefits or putting you in a better place, are obviously a whole other story. 
But like mentioned earlier, I don’t care if you lie to me to end a conversation you’re uncomfortable in.
I also don’t care if you tell me you’re going to the gym in 60 minutes, but end up only driving halfway there and still saying you went there. For me, you still made it to the gym.
Sometimes I even tell lies to myself, to keep myself accountable and motivated. For example I’ve been wanting to do pole dance forever, and I said I signed up for a class - even though I didn’t. That puts pressure on me to actually do it. Same goes for kickboxing or swing dance classes.
And if I’m asked how I fucked someone, and I say good or that it went great, even though it didn’t - is that a lie? If I say it’s none of your business, people might mock you for being secretive. Or they paint their own story in their heads because they didn’t get their questions answered. I don’t want that, I don’t like that.
So I choose an answer that protects the whole situation as good as possible

Sometimes plans change, intentions change. Does that turn a statement into a lie?
If my relationship breaks up one day, and after a week we decide to get back together, was it a lie at the point of breakup?
I once said my job is more important than you. Yet when it came to it, I did everything I could to protect you AND the other things that are important to me - losing the job in the process and a lot of time with you.
So tell me, does this make me a bad person? If so, I don’t care - because I’m fine with my intentions.
