toughcookie01: Yeah, you can love a person all you want, care for them, make them feel special, and do all the positive things that exist. But will you be able to stay when they are not by themselves, when they are sad and upset, or when their past traumas come in between your friendship or relationship? Will you be able to stay when they need assurance from you again and again, when they feel ignored by you, when they show their wounds and scars and expect you to listen, to understand, and to stay, when they are so afraid to tell you their weaknesses, when they want you to choose them no matter how difficult they get? Will you be able to stay when there comes a conflict, and they criticize you? When they want you to be kind to them, will you be able to stay? Because life is not only about positive things. Even the weather has autumn once a year. - Elizabeth, “Bestfriend or soulmate?” (2019)
